Okcan Battery Practitioner Training – Training Content and Stages
General Framework of the Training
The Okcan Battery Practitioner Training teaches the professional use of the Okcan Battery system, which enables the assessment of children’s cognitive, academic, socio-emotional intelligence, neuropsychological, and developmental domains. This training covers not only how to administer the system but also how to scientifically interpret and report the test results.
Throughout the training, participants comprehensively learn both the theoretical knowledge and practical steps necessary to become competent practitioners.
Training Stages

• Detailed review of the Okcan Battery kit, forms, and test tools.
• Explanation of what each subtest measures.
• Preparation of materials before administration and correct usage methods.

• Key points to consider during administration (avoiding misguidance, time control, maintaining motivation).
• Adaptation methods for different ages and developmental levels.
• Behaviors that the trainee must and must not do during administration.
🔷 Stage 4: Scoring and Analysis
• Processing of scores in the Okcan Academy system, analysis of calculation methods.
• Scoring rules for each subtest and cluster.
• Systematic recording of scores.
• Transforming raw data into meaningful outcomes.
• Control mechanisms used to prevent errors.
🔷 Stage 5: Reporting and Interpretation
• The reporting system offered by Okcan Academy for both typically and atypically developing children.
• Interpretation of results from a scientific and neuropsychological perspective.
• Clarifying children’s strengths and challenges.
• Presenting findings to families, teachers, or relevant institutions in an objective and comprehensible report format.
• Practice in report writing through case examples.

Clinical Psychologist Yusuf Janbert Okcan
Applied Behavior Analyst (IBA)
Yusuf Janbert Okcan graduated from the Department of Psychology at Bahçeşehir University and subsequently completed his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at SWPS University. During this period, he transformed his thesis project into an original assessment system, which he named the Okcan Battery. Throughout his graduate studies, he developed an assessment approach grounded in neurodevelopmental evaluation and behavioral analysis.
Between 2023 and 2024, he trained at the Krok Po Kroku Therapeutic Pre-school Centre in Poland, under the supervision of BCBA-D and IBA-certified Dr. Monika Suchowierska-Stephany. This clinical experience represented a key step that led him to attain the title of International Behavior Analyst (IBA). As of 2025, he has been officially recognized as an International Behavior Analyst by the IBAO (International Behavior Analysis Organization).
In the same year, he began studying Web Design and Coding at Istanbul University, adopting a multidisciplinary approach that integrates psychology with digitalization processes. This vision of digitalization transformed him from being solely a therapy provider into an educational entrepreneur developing scientifically grounded digital systems and assessment platforms.
As of 2025, Yusuf Janbert Okcan has delivered in-person trainings across various cities in Türkiye (Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Manisa, Hatay), actively contributing to the promotion, training, and dissemination of the Okcan Battery. In the same year, he founded the Okcan Academy, establishing it as a digital and science-based education and consultancy platform. Okcan Academy offers comprehensive neuropsychological and developmental solutions in assessment, reporting, and play-based therapy. Its core components include an AI-powered reporting engine, individualized developmental maps, and multidimensional assessment tools.
